Welcome to our biweekly reading group, where we learn in depth about cellular agriculture by reading new and key papers of the field. This week, we will be reading "Social and Economic Opportunities and Challenges of Plant-Based and Cultured Meat for Rural Producers in the US" by Peter Newton and Daniel Blaustein-Rejito. How will the Reading Group work?
Students read the article on their own, then meet virtually for a fruitful discussion with their peers on the topic which the article addresses. Each meeting will be moderated by a different Cell Ag @ MIT organizer, who will bring questions to facilitate discussion and topic comprehension.
